Don't get this if you are just doing it because you are having a kid. if you like wagons, sure go ahead, but regular sedan s served the Ontop family well through two infants. SUVs need not apply.

Owning a wagon and not having plans for babies, I refuse to talk you out of it. Theres plenty of practical uses for a wagon, including grocery shopping, home renovation, furniture shopping, and hauling 5 sexy asses while hauling major ass.

Once you wagon, you cant go back.

My kid is hauled around in a 325iT manual. Wagons FTW!

You'll spend less to take care of the V70R. The S4 is a really nice car, much better from a driver's perspective with a much better chassis and that glorious V8, plus real mechanical AWD. The interior is nicer too. The caveat is that FSI cars, and it seems the V8s in particular, have carbon buildup & oil consumption issues. I saw one S4 V8 crack a cylinder wall, but that car was pretty beat & I don't know how common that is. Practically, the S4 has pretty crummy rear legroom and cargo space compared to the Volvo. As a driver's car, it wins.

As a family car, I'd take the Volvo. In fact, I almost bought a V70 T5 with a manual before I found the 325. The V70R is cool, the engine is solid, and with the manual, you eliminate one of the biggest possible problem areas with Volvos. Be prepared to spend a load of money on brake parts though, and they consume control arm bushings & strut mounts. The only flag on that Volvo is the mileage. Not a problem in and of itself, but make sure it's had regular service, and see if the clutch has been done. If service has been neglected, be ready to buy a turbo, cam solenoids, and so on. Also, and almost no one does this, see if the Haldex rear diff has ever been serviced. Expensive if it has any issues. Beyond that, cut the muffler off & pretend you're flinging an old Quattro through the forest. That turbo 5 can at least simulate some Audi feel.

this is beyond a doubt, of all the stuff I have read comparing these two cars. The best review and comparison of the two,

Bravo
